Mad Asian brings funky Asian vibes and fresh street-eats to The Kitchens

Fresh and funky vibes with a flavoursome menu to match – meet Mad Asian Kitchen and Bar, the new culinary concept with a focus on contemporary Asian cuisine that is set to open its doors at The Kitchens, Robina Town Centre later this month.

Launching on Monday 27th August on Level 1 (opposite Elixiba), the Asian fusion eatery is the latest venture from Stanley Lee and the team behind Saiko Teppanyaki, a successful Japanese franchise with two thriving venues in Queensland – the uber-cool Emporium in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, as well as The Kitchens, Robina.

Certain to prove just as popular as its relatives, Mad Asian’s menu is a mixed bag of deliciousness from China, Japan, Malaysia and Vietnam, offering up an array of Asian-themed dishes, from gyoza and kushiage to rice and noodle favourites, stir frys, curries, and sizzling specialties.

Signature dishes include the lightly fried Scallop salad served with pineapple, seaweed, edamame and honey yuzu dressing; Grilled Wagyu Beef; the Mad Grandpa prawn curry with green beans and chilli – and for those daring to step on the spicier side – the Hot Asian Food Challenge is sure to pack a flavour punch: a feast of fiery dishes specially selected by the chef.

Customers keen for a tipple or two can sip their way through the restaurant’s drool-worthy drinks list that includes a curated collection of signature and classic cocktails, an impressive range of wine and spirits, plus a host of international beers.

Sake-lovers are not forgotten either – savour a drop of the hot or cold varieties from the dedicated sake menu, or time your visit to coincide with one of the themed sake nights that are planned for the near future.

And if you have little ones in tow, rest easy knowing they will have hours (we hope) of entertainment ahead of them in the children’s play space, and challenging each other in a game of ping pong.

To celebrate their launch, Mad Asian Kitchen and Bar will be offering customers a welcome drink on arrival plus 15% off all meals when sharing a photo of their fave menu item on Instagram with the hashtag #madasiankitchenandbar, or by liking the restaurant’s Facebook page.
